Setting Reverse DNS with Virtualizor

Reverse DNS, also known as rDNS, is a process of resolving an IP address to a domain name. This is useful when you want to whitelist a servers IP address with a service that requires a domain name.

Most web hosting companies offer rDNS management as part of their web hosting plans. If youre using Virtualizor, you can set up rDNS for your server by following these steps:

  • 1. Log in to the Virtualizor control panel and select the server you want to manage.
  • 2. Click on theNetwork tab and then select theReverse DNS option.
  • 3. Enter the desired domain name in theDomain Name field and click on theAdd button.
  • 4. Thats it! Your rDNS entry will be created and should propagate within a few minutes.
